February's Degustabox* has been one of my favourite boxes so far, with some exciting discoveries. Nothing for the cooking side of things but plenty of snacks and drinks.
When it comes to seafood, I have to say I usually eat it Asian style. We're talking about clams stir fried in black bean sauce, lobster in ginger and spring onion, deep fried salt and pepper prawns and of course sushi. Just thinking about it has me salivating, and whilst I love seafood this way, I also appreciate Western styles of cooking seafood.
With Spring finally arriving in the UK and ending what feels like a super long Winter, it's so nice to step outside and see blossoming flowers and trees everywhere. The weather is milder, days are starting to feel longer and Spring cleaning is the perfect way to kick start the new season!
**UPDATE: Congratulations to Stephen Siu for winning the hamper. Thanks to everyone who participated!**
Guys, how does winning a delicious hamper full of treats sound to you?! Here's your chance to WIN an Exceedingly Good Mr Kipling Hamper and #BreakForCake!
This video was actually filmed last year, but somehow I never got round to publishing it. I'm so glad it's finally up as this is one of my absolute favourite Chinese dishes.
Japanese cuisine is just one of those cuisines that you can't get enough of once you've tried it, and if you are not familiar with it, it is so much more than just sushi.
January's Degustabox* is heavily influence by Chinese New Year and that's
totally fine to me since I have a mainly Asian palate anyway. There's also a
mix of breakfast items, snacks, cooking sauces and everything seems
pretty healthy.
From as early as my college days, my friends and I adored road trips. Back then, only a couple of us owned a car (I wasn't one of them!) so it wasn't that often we would go on such trips, but we managed to do trips from Blackpool to Brighton. Oh the fun we had.
It's early evening and we're ready for a spot of shopping after a quick freshen up. Our hotel is literally 5 minutes walk to the shopping area in Namba with plenty of restaurants around.
