I really miss Hong Kong.

I'd already booked our flights to Hong Kong for our annual family trip but as the COVID-19 situation got progressively worse, I knew our trip in April would have to be cancelled indefinitely. Instead of focusing on what we can't do, I'm looking back on our pass trips and reliving the good times.

Japanese Udon Noodle | Koya, Soho London

In Japan, there's always the debate of which noodle you love the most; ramen, soba or udon. Out of the three, hands down my favourite is udon. Thick, bouncy and silky. 

Japanese Tebasaki Chicken Wings

I always remember Tebasaki wings with such fondness and good memories. I first tasted them at Koya, back when chef Junya was running it and to this day, it remains one of my favourite restaurants of all time.

Chinese Poached Chicken Noodle Soup

Nothing ever goes to waste in my kitchen, so following on from the chicken with ginger and spring onion recipe, I used the the chicken broth that was leftover from poaching a whole chicken and turned it into a chicken noodle in soup for another delicious family meal.
