Arôme Soho London | Artisan Bakery

February 10, 2020

Arôme-Soho-London-Artisan-Bakery
Arôme is a bakery by day and a Singaporean restaurant by night, opened by the same person who started up Rasa Sayang in Chinatown. Although Arôme's pop up residency on Frith street has now closed it's doors (7th Feb), it may be returning again on a new site so do give them a follow on Instagram, because their artisan pastries are just the most beautifully crafted ones outside of Paris.

Du Pain | Paris

July 16, 2014

On a previous trip to Paris, we wanted to go to Du Pain after reading about their green tea croissants and pistachio & chocolate swirls.

One of the oldest patisseries in Paris, how could we not? But we didn't read up on opening times and arrived only to find out it didn't open at the weekends. And we were in Paris for the weekend. Bummer. With a heavy heart, we left but I vowed I'd come back in the future and this time in Paris I did just that.

L'Ilot | Paris

Seafood platters really do remind me of being on holiday and being away from the every day hustle and bustle. Hunting one down for one our meals was top of my list on things to do for Paris.

Café Constant | Paris

July 01, 2014

June has turned out to be a busy month with an unexpected trip to Paris, and various birthday do's including my own.

Paris! The most romantic city in the world? This is my 4th trip, my first 2 trips were with school and I didn't understand the world's fascination with it. It was dirty, people were rude and drivers in Paris were crazy, and I was sure I would never go again. But my good friend Burger Law persuaded me to go again in 2012, and returning to Paris as an adult this time round, it was a completely different story. Not only did I find Paris pretty and romantic, but the food was worth coming back for alone!

My Macaron Journey

April 12, 2014

[My pride & joy: rainbow macarons!]

Macarons are beautiful thing to look at, don’t you think? They are also delicious with their crisp, chewy shells and endless flavour creations in that blob of buttercream.

I didn’t even know what they were a few years ago until I stumbled on the super talented Steph’s blog Raspberri Cupcakes. They were the prettiest baked treats I’d even seen and I couldn’t wait to try the recipe for myself!
