‘Ah Por Tofu-Fa' Tofu Pudding | Hong Kong

February 13, 2018

It’s hard to find a decent tofu-fa that is silky smooth, melts on your tongue with a rich soya taste. This is how my mum used to make it and I really do miss it. Too often, I've had tofu-fa that is either rough in texture, or the soya bean taste is too weak, like it’s been watered down, or they’ve used gelatine instead of coagulant and it tastes more like a jelly than a soft pudding.

Top 10 Things to Do in Hong Kong

October 18, 2015

Hong Kong is a city that has everything, so how to whittle it down to Top 10 Things To Do in Hong Kong?

Impressive and modern skyscrapers adorn the skyline with neon lighted signages screaming to be read amongst the bustle of hole-in-the-wall shops down below. Top 6 Eats at Tai Po Market's Cooked Food Centre, Hong Kong

August 17, 2015

Tai Po market's indoor cooked food centre is a local haunt for many of Tai Po's residence but much more of a mystery for tourists and non locals. It's easily overwhelming once you arrive on the 3rd floor of Tai Po market, without the faintest idea of what to choose or where to choose from.

Luckily, my husband's family are Tai Po locals and we have his aunty to guide us every time we are in Hong Kong. We now know which vendor to go to for the best shrimp roe noodle, the silkiest steamed cheung fun (rice rolls) and the bounciest fish balls to name a few.

Hong Kong Eats & Iconic Foods

August 05, 2014

Hong Kong is a place I consider my second home. A buzzing city full of neon lights and amazing food. HK harbour at night is one of the most beautiful places in the world. The view makes me tingle with excitement every time, and nowhere else brings back nostalgia quite like HK's night view.
