Japanese Lunch Set at The Yuu 一遊, TST Hong Kong

May 12, 2017

Japanese-Lunch-Set-at-The-Yuu-一遊-TST-Hong-Kong-2
Hello from Hong Kong everyone!

I know it's been a while since I posted anything but my first 2 weeks in Hong Kong were super hectic. I'll be here until the end of May, which means a total 5 weeks of glorious eating. Catch me on Instagram where I'm posting daily of all the delicious foods I'm working through.

My Favourite Japanese Restaurant in Hong Kong, The Yuu 一遊

August 03, 2015

Good Japanese food is easy to find in Hong Kong, and I reckon there are as many Japanese restaurants as there are Cantonese and Hong Kong style restaurants. Being so close to Japan, the quality of seafood is amazingly fresh and inexpensive, and it would be a total waste not to hunt out a Japanese meal whilst in Hong Kong.

My good friend M suggested The Yuu 一遊 for dinner in TST's romantic and tucked away Knutsford Terrace. It's one of her favourite restaurants and she was sure I'd love it.

Tokyo Day 3 - Tsukiji Fish Market and Daiwa Sushi

May 31, 2015

Our hotel is a 3 minute walk to the Shinjuku JR station. Shinjuku JR station has the JR train lines as well as a few subway lines running through it.

However, right next door to our hotel there is also another subway station named Shinjuku station. This confused the hell out of us, since we thought the subway station was a part of the JR station, and we could walk to the entrance of the JR station via the subway. Then we realised "Oh, it's a subway station, not a mainline JR station".

Tokyo Day 2 - Shibuyu By Night and Sushi

May 26, 2015

It's about 6pm, and we're refreshed after a sit down and a quick shower. We're staying at the Sunroute Plaza Hotel in Shinjuku and pretty happy about the location. It was great to recharge ourselves after all the walking we'd done

3 min walk over to Shinjuku JR station, and we hop onto the train to Shibuyu for dinner and some browsing. Out comes our SUICA card, already charged from the airport. It makes public transport travelling a whole load easier.

Nagomi | Japanese in Oxford Street

November 14, 2014

Searching for a cute Japanese restaurant in London that won't break the bank, but is intimate and elegant enough for special occasions? Look no further than Nagomi.

I found Nagomi during the ramen craze that hit London around 2 yrs ago, a few online reviews had suggested the ramen here was authentic and worthwhile. We booked a table for my husband's birthday, gorged on an excessive amount of food and rolled out with happy bellies and £43 (each) less in our wallets.

Not bad at all when you consider the location and the quality of food. It has the cozy ambience of a small traditional Japanese restaurant and all the staff were friendly and efficient.

Eat Tokyo | Japanese in Holborn

October 23, 2014

Fancy some Japanese food that's not going to cost an arm and a leg or average-tasting either? Eat Tokyo is your answer!

Eat Tokyo is a recent-ish discovery for me, perhaps in the last year or 2, and I have been going non-stop since. I believe it's been around for years and the queues have always been the same - crazy amount.

Sushi Tetsu | Mind Blowing Sushi in Clerkenwell

July 31, 2014

Tetsu. There is so much to say about this little gem in Farringdon. The sushi is just mind blowing, and possibly the best I've ever eaten. The quality of fish is outstanding & the ambiance of this tiny 7-seater restaurant transported us right back to Japan.
