Fen Noodles | Old Spitalfields Market London

Fen Noodles, opened by the super John and Yee of Dumpling Shack, is the sister restaurant selling hand pulled belt noodles. Residing side by side with Dumpling Shack, it means I can now get my fix of sheng jian bao and belt noodles more or less together.

I didn't take many photos this day, as I was far too focused on eating but I can assure you the noodles are unbelievably tasty. Bite after bite, I couldn't stop! The noodles are the star of the show here; long (we're talking metres), chewy and toothsome. They are epic. They are absolutely sensational.

I went for the spicy dry mixed lamb noodles (£8.50), the slow cooked lamb made for a nice meaty bite with the noodles, complemented so well by the preserved mustard green vegetables and all brought together by a big, big dollop of of the spicy, savoury and tangy sauce. I went for the smart executive foodie decision to add noodles for an extra £2.5 and two extra dumplings. Our vegan friend was extremely happy with his vegan dry mix noodles too.

It's so great to see vegan options and much of the stalls at Old Spitalfields Market have embraced this, with so many plant based choices not compromising on flavour. If you're a vegan, this is the place for you.

We love to get food to share so that we can get a taster of everything. There's chilli fries from Indi-go (so so good!) and a really good burger and chips from Flank.

Old Spitalfields Market is one of my favourite hang outs in the past year or two (I started going because of Dumpling Shack). The choice of food is exceptional, all the tasty street food type eats from around the world. No matter how often I go, I can't get enough and there are still so many stalls I've yet to try before a new one pops open.

What are your favourite stalls at Old Spitalfields Market? I'd love to know!
