The first recipe in this blog series "Chinese Food on a Budget: 5 Family Meals for £16.50" is this Chinese sticky wings with noodles. It cost £4.29 to make, feeding a young family of 4 and with leftovers too.

Simply 4 ingredients is all it takes.

Mix condiments together in a bowl. Lay chicken wings in a roasting tray, pour the marinade all over and massage everything in with your hands. You can cook with this straightaway or let it marinade for a few hours. Preheat oven to 200 degrees and cook for 30 mins.

Next, boil noodles until al dente, drain and rinse under cold water.

Turn heat onto high and add oil to the frying pan. Then throw in the beansprout and spring onion and stir fry for 3 minutes.

Add in noodles, give it a good mix and then add in 1/4 cup water. Add in soya sauce, oyster sauce and sesame oil and mix well. Cook for around 3-5 minutes and turn off the heat.

Wings are now cooked, serve alongside the noodles.

Dinner is served for our family of 4.

These were the leftovers we had which were saved for lunch the next day. 

Ingredients:
1 pack of chicken wings
1 pack of beansprouts
1 bunch of spring onions
1 pack of Sainsbury's fine egg noodles
1 tbsp oyster sauce 
1 tbsp soya sauce 
1 tbsp hoi sin sauce 
1 1/2 tbsp honey 
1 tbsp fish sauce 
1/4 tsp 5 spice powder 
1/2 tsp black pepper 
2 tbsp oil

Directions:
