The bathroom is the room that we use to start off our day and end our day. It's our own little oasis of space and a great excuse to escape to when we just need a little break from all the chatter and daily noise around us.

I certainly felt that way when I designed our downstairs bathroom a few years ago, and whilst I am very happy with the final outcome of our bathroom, there are always other incredible bathroom designs that have me lusting all over them. Since we spend a considerable amount of time in our bathrooms, it is one of the rooms really worth spending some time and money on if a renovation project is on your horizon.

Botanicals + Zen
Think whites with stone and pebbles amongst dark woods adorned with plenty of green leafy plants. This look takes you close to nature in it's calming state and creates an oasis of tranquility and restoration. Plenty of hotel resorts use this sort of theme, and it's the perfect holiday-inspired design for your very own bathroom at home.

Earthy concrete creates the ultimate cool bathroom with a minimalist yet edgy vibe. The look is organic and raw, with greys and stone white as the main colour palette. Add black embellishments like taps and robe hooks against some warming wood to bring all the colours together that work in harmony with each other.

Arguably one of the most instagrammable combinations going! Cool marbles with a pop of rose gold brings warmth and femininity to any bathroom, and if you keep to clean simple lines, be it the mirror or the bathtub, the whole look becomes chic, classy and elegant.
