Afternoon Tea at Patisserie Valerie | Soho, London

Afternoon Tea is just so quintessentially English and best enjoyed with good company, don't you think?

I spent a fun afternoon/evening with fellow bloggers including Hanh, Sophie, Ala, Amanda and Katy at one of my favourite cake shops; Patisserie Valerie* for their newly launched Afternoon Tea

The set for 2 people is £25, or £30 will also include a glass of Prosecco. How good is that price?!

Far too often, Afternoon Tea is expensive, especially in London. I've paid £35-£45 before for afternoon tea, and that's per person!!

My favourite brew, an English breakfast tea, accompanied the sandwiches, quiche, scones and cakes on offer.

Our serve of Afternoon Tea!

When bloggers gather, this scene is to be expected. It amuses me so much every time, since I am a part of it! :)

The scones were gorgeous! The clotted cream was calling out to be lathered on generously...

I enjoy Afternoon Tea so much more when there the choices are a little more unusual, and the chicken-pesto-sunblazed-tomato-sandwich really hit the spot.

And of course you can expect the classics of cucumber, egg mayo, smoked salmon & cream cheese, and ham with mustard. The mini quiche was delicious.

The mixed berry mousse cake had to be my favourite. I can also never resist a good Victoria Sandwich.

Along with the price, another great thing is that no reservation for Afternoon Tea is necessary, although it is recommended for large parties.

Patisserie Valerie is one of my go-to cake shops for buying birthday cakes for family and friends. Their cakes are always light and fluffy with great flavour combinations, and very beautifully presented.

They now have a new feature on the website where you can custom and design your own cake virtually! It's so much fun to click through and choose everything and watch it being virtually built.

Will you be going to Patisserie Valerie for Afternoon Tea?
