Eat Tokyo is a recent-ish discovery for me, perhaps in the last year or 2, and I have been going non-stop since. I believe it's been around for years and the queues have always been the same - crazy amount.

Viet Cafe | Vietnamese Cafe in Camberwell

This lovely little rustic Vietnamese cafe has been around for a few years and has become one of my favourite places to grab lunch at work, when I'm not bringing a packed lunch in.

They do a range of Banh-Mi's, grilled skewers of meat/prawns to go on rice or salad, Vietnamese curries and stews. On the menu, there is also the regular baguette and salad items but I come here for the Vietnamese eats.

This is the 3rd part of my “Hong Kong in 4 days” post, Day 3.

Day 3

8.30am: Start the day nice and early at the Big Buddha on Lantau Island, alight at Tung Chung MTR for the Ngong Ping Cable Car ride to the big Buddha. Pre-book a single trip here, this can save you 1-2 hrs of queuing on the day. A return trip on the cable car isn't necessary. The cable car takes you to the bottom of the ‘village’, a strip containing touristy shops and restaurants and leading towards the Big Buddha. After your climb to the Big Buddha, make sure you have your ticket for a free vegetarian meal in their canteen.

Hong Kong is such a wonderful city, and whilst I might be biased since it is my second home, I honestly believe those who visit for the first time will want to come back again, and this is certainly true amongst my friends after their first visit. A city full of amazing food, shopping and a rich culture that is uniquely Hong Kong’s.

Sweetdreaming | The Perfect Bed

 When looking for a bed, I love the look of a wooden frame but they are not always the most stable, compared to a divan base which are. And as a bed takes up the majority of the room in a bedroom, I hate the idea of not having storage under the bed. The main problem that's keeping me from posting more often is actually the RSI problems I have in both hands and both shoulders suffering from shoulder impingements...  The Shady burger is Byron's latest specials creation and sold out during its debut at National Burger Day. It made it into the Byron restaurants yesterday as a free preview (in other words, free burger!!) for those who were lucky to nab a ticket online at 12.30pm last Friday.

Hong Kong Street Food

Following on from Hong Kong Eats & Iconic Foods is Hong Kong Street Food. This deserves a post on its own as street food choices in Hong Kong is huge.

I hang out a lot in the Mong Kok area when I am there for holidays and one of my favourite spots for street food is at Guy Gei Siu Sik at 1, Sai Yeung Choi Street South, Mong Kok. Sai Yeung Choi Street South joins alongside Dundas Street and more yummy street food is found along here. Avoid the street food eats near Mong Kok MTR (Exit E2) as the quality and taste isn't as good, and you will tend to see tourists all crowding around here.

Hong Kong is a place I consider my second home. A buzzing city full of neon lights and amazing food. HK harbour at night is one of the most beautiful places in the world. The view makes me tingle with excitement every time, and nowhere else brings back nostalgia quite like HK's night view.
