A Yellow + Grey Elephant Baby Shower

When my lovely friend A announced her pregnancy, I was over the moon for her and asked her straight out if I could plan her baby shower. I love an excuse to plan a party (take a look at my baby shower and one of my besties), and especially gushable baby showers. Together with her awesome friend C, we sorted out a baby shower dessert bar, bunting decorations, a guest signing book and plenty of fun games!

Coming up with a theme is always super fun and we knew mum to be was expecting a little girl, but as she has an aversion to pink (and some more) we were nice enough to let her off and decided on elephants, and yellow with grey. It was a pretty natural choice since both C & I both adored the look!

We held the baby shower at The Parlour in Canary Wharf which worked out brilliantly for space and delicious food. The Cocktail Lounge was all ours and it was so nice to have the area to ourselves with comfy sofas and tables.

I am very proud to say this was all baked and made by yours truly. Mum to be loved her surprise dessert table.

Blueberry + vanilla sponge cake with cream cheese frosting. A has nicknamed her baby Blueberry, so this cake was perfectly apt.

Marshmallow pops dipped in white chocolate then sprinkles. Super easy to make and so damn cute!

Pram shaped black sesame cookies.

Vanilla + strawberry cupcakes and chocolate cupcakes.

A nappy cake, made with rolled nappies, a pram toy and milestone cards.

The super cute guest signing booked that C picked.

Love these cute and on-point straws that I found in Poundland! I also got matching baby shower bags and a helium balloon. Incredibly happy with bargain price baby shower decors that look way more expensive that they are.

Party favours bags.

We pre-ordered meat/fish/veg party platters and The Parlour were kind enough to send out a crispy duck flatbread to share too. Everything went down really well and everyone was truly stuffed before even making it to the dessert table.

The food worked out to around £10 per head which is amazing value and the fact we got the area reserved just for our party. I will definitely be keeping this venue in mind for future events!

All the ladies having a fantastic time in The Cocktail Lounge at The Parlour in Canary Wharf.

We all can't wait to meet baby Blueberry who is expected to arrive at Christmas!
